WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph—l'ress Association. Wellington, Wednesday. At the January wool sale commencing to-morrow 17,466 bales will be offered. 5000 les9 than at the same sale last year. AUCKLAND WOOL SALES. Auckland, Wednesday. There was a small offering of 6672 bales at the local wool sales to-day, which were confined largely to crossbreds. The advances in prices recorded at the first sale of the season- were well maintained, inferior crossbreds realising 6y 2 d to 7%d, medium 7%d to B%d, fine 8% to 9%d. A specially picked line of halfbreds this morning brought up to ny 2 d. Later sales recorded an advance of y g d to Id per lb. on wools suitable for America. For poorly grown faulty wool bidding was irregular at November rates. NAPIER WOOL SALE. Napier, Wednesday. The catalogue of the second wool sale of the season, which will be held next Tuesday, will comprise about 20,300 bales, some 4000 more than the corresponding sale of last year. The wool is opening out in excellent condition, and prices are expected to fully maintain November level. Buyers will include six representatives of French houses.
