Christchurch, Last Night. .The work of repairing the thrustblock of the Union Company's Mararoa, which i was fractured on Monday evening, was completed by Messrs. Anderson/ Ltd., this morning, and the block was removed to the vessel for fitting. Subsequently Mr. A... Cameron, Inspector -of—Machinery, inspected N the work, and expressed himself highly pleased with the manner j in which it had been done. The Mararoa will take up her usual running to-night | for Wellington, leaving Lyttelton on the arrival of the 5.25 , p.m. train from Christchurch. '■...; BRITISH-N.Z. MEAT AND PRODUCE COMPANY. Christchurch, Last Night. The annual meeting of the British-1 New Zealand Meat and Produce Com-1 pany was held this afternoon. The directors reported that for the year ending October 31, 1911, there was a balance at credit of the profit and loss account 1 of £3lOl 12s Bd, which they considered very satisfactory, and recommended that 1 it be dealt with by the payment of 8 per ' cent, dividend for the year, extinguish ( the debit "standing against the defroster, ! and carry forward the balance, viz.,! £(489 14s 4d. During the year, agencies were opened at Bristol'; and Cardiff, and; business conditions were now established at all the chief' centres ■'throughout'' Eng-1 land and Scotland. The profit arid loss account showed': Dr.: Income tax £338 8s 4d, general expenses and cost of man- j agrment £4248 3s 2d, balance £3lOl 12s' Bdj total £7688 4s 2d. Cr.: Balance. The report, and balance-sheet were adopted on the !• motion of the chairman, -who gave a' lengthy review of the past season's op-j erations. | ; THE BOND BURGLARY. j Blenheim, Last Night. . ' After two days' sitting of the Court in I the Clouston Bond burglary case, James [ Haydon, William Stephenson and William Kennedy were committed for trial 1 . on a charge of 'breaking and entering the bond. The charge against John WilsW was dismissed on the ground of insufficient evidence. Brimmer was committed for trial on a charge of receiving goods, knowing the same to be stolen. Prank Campbell was also committed for trial ! on a similar charge. Bail was allowed in ! each case, self iri £2OO, and one or more 1 sureties up to £2OO.
