NORTHERN TOURNAMENT. THE FIRST 'THREE ROUNDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Northern Bowling Association's annual tournament was commenced today in/fine weather. At the end of the third round the leading rinks in the various sections were as follows: t Section A.—Dall (Wellington), Gori don (St. Johns), each three wins. Section B.—Bell (Wellington), Wakeman (Pahiatua), each three wins. i Section C—Balllnger (Wellington), three wins. I Section D—Prince (Newtown), McGregor (Carlton), each three want. Section E.—Still (Wellington), Chegwin (Sydenham), each three wins. Section F.—Saywell (Feilddng) three j wins. , Section H.—Wylie (Newtown), Lock (Tehiwi), each three wins. Section J.—Craig (Gisborne), Bull (Napier), Parata, each three wins. Section K.—(Churchward (Wellington), three wins. DOMINION CONTROL DESIRED. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of bowlers to-night, at was decided that the time had arrived for the formation of an association, to govern bowling throughout the Dominion, and it was resolved to give the coW cil of the Northern Association full power to carry out the project. The following members wil] represent Fitzroy against Waitara at Fitzroy on Thursday, 11th:—Chi vera, Whiterhead, Jackson, Abbott (s); Oxenham, Avery, Ford, Lealand (s); Morshead,, Healy, (Mender (s); Allen, Dingle, Bennett, Rennell.
