THAMES RAILWAY FATALITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Thames, Last Night. At the inquest on the man and woman killed on the Kaueranga railway bridge no fresh evidence was adduced, except that a parcel was found on the bridge above where the man's body was discovered. From thence a bloodstained track led to where the woman's body was found on the railway line, showing that the man was struck down and killed instantaneously, and the body carried by the train some distance. The boy, Rowlands, who was accidentally shot on, the steamer Wakatere by another boy,. still' lies in an unconscious state in 'the Thames hospital. Gisborne, Last Night. A young man named John William Wood, single, a native of England, was found dead this evening in an outbuilding at the rear of where he was staying in Roebuck road. Wood was until lately accountant for F. Hall and Sons, but since leaving has' been out of employment and leading intemperate habits. WHARF LABORER KILLED. * Wellington, Monday. A wharf laborer named A. Rickman, a married man, aged 53, died last night from injuries received at the Glasgow wharf, where he was jambed between a crane and a railway truck, DEATH AT SEA. Napier, Monday. A passenger by the Mokoia, Mrs; Sarah HouJdswc-rth, of Wellington;- died last night at 9.30 on the voyage from Gisbornie to Napier. She had ill-heallth for some years, and was returning home from a visit to Gisborne. She had complained of severe pains 1 in the head during the day. MOTOR-CAR FATALITY. Oamaru, Monday. William Smith, aged 55, a butcher, who was run over by a' motor car on Saturday, died this morning. Deceased was with two others, who heard the todt of the motor.. The others jumped clear, but deceased, who was Wind in one' eye, .jumped in front of the car. which was on the right side of the road and, going at normal speed. ■ - ■ ■ i.
