MOUNT LYELL RETURNS. 1 By Cable—Press Association—Copyrighij. Melbourne, January 5. Mount Lyell returns - from December 11 to 27 inclusive show that 5502 tons of ore were treated, and also 27 tons of purchased ore. Only one blast furnace was in operation, owing to the shortage of men. but 'more will he started as the output increases. The converters have resumed running. During the current half-year the company consigned 41 tons of blister copper. MOUNT MORGAN MINE. Brisbane, January 5. During December Mount Morgan gold reduction works treated 6QJ9 tons of ore, producing 3050 ounces of gold. The copper works produced 522 tons blister copper, containing 517 tons copper and 6382 ounces gold. The total value of the but- j put was £QSjm. ■ \ A BISHOP ON PRIZE FIGHTS. Sydney, January 5.
