Details revealed at the Meat Packers' trjals at Chicago show that in 1902 a plan was arranged to merge the Armor, Swift and Morris interests, with a view to controlling the United States meat industry. One hundred million pounds sterling capital was involved, but the plan was abandoned as unworkable at that time.
