\y;:;xk.-; in t:ie north sea. By Cable—Fress Association—Copyright London, December 22. It is feared tiiat the White Rose, of Liverpool, has been lost off Plymouth with eleven liaiids. Other wrecks are reported in the North Sea. Two seamen were washed from the quarterdeck of the battleship London in a storm in the Hay of Biscay. Commander Forbes also had a narrow escape. Afterwards a steampipe burst and two men were severely scalded. DAMAGE IX FRANCE. Paris, December 22. Terrible gales have occurred in various parts of France. The foreign telephones have been cut off. several aeroplanes at Etampes have been destroyed, and fifteen men have been drowned in a fishing boat at Boulogne. 54 FISHERM EX DROWXED. Paris, December '24. Fifty-four fishermen were drowned in the gales. Twenty wives and seventyfive children are widowed and fatherless.
