At Arlington there wero large entries of stock, 'in consequence of its being a double market. The demand for fat stock was good, to meet the butchers' requirements for the Christmas and New Year trade. Fat lambs were firmer. Store sheep sold briskly, but there was a sharp decline in fat cattle. Fat wet-h----ew sold well up to late rates, but ewes were easier. Store cattle and bacon and store pigs were in good demand, while porkers were easier. Store sheep—Shorn four-tooth ewes made Ids lid, 2-tooths 13s lid to 15s Od. aged ewes (with lambs) !)s fid to Ids. 2 and 4-tooth ewes 14s 9d, 4. C and 8-toot.h 12s to 12s 7d, forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 14s fid to 15s lOd, others 13s (id to 14s, 2-tooths 10s 9d to lis 9d, mixed 2-tooths (in low condition) 20s Bd, aged woolly ewes (with lambs) 8s lid, dry merino ewes fis 3d, woolly hoggets to 15s 9d.

Fat lambs —Best ranged from 15s to 10s. lighter 12s 3d to 14s fld. Fat sheep—Prime wethers 17s fid to 22s 6d, wethers 14s 9d to 17s, prime ewes- los to 17s -Od, others 10s 9d to 14s Gd, merino wethers 15s 6d.

Fat cattle—The range of prices was 25s to 28s per 1001b. Steers made £8 15s to £l2 10s, heifers £5 17s fid to £ll 10s, cows £4 as to £8 7s fid, veal calves 3s fid to 6s.

Store cattle—ls to l'S-months 50s 6d to 00s, 2-year steers £4 4s to £4 10s, 2-vear heifers £3 15s, 2y 3 -year heifers £4 19s to £5 Is, 3-year steers £0 5s to £G 15s, 3-year heifers £4 17s Gd to £5 as, dry cows 37s Gd to £4 10s. Dairy cows sold at £3 10s to £lO.

Fat pigs—Choppers made 50s to £4, large baconers GOs to 71s Gd, lighter 47s to 55s (equal to s>/ 2 d to 5%d per lb), large porkers 34s to 38s fid, smaller 27s to 32s (equal to 5%d to s>/,d per lb). Store pigs were easier in consequence of a small entry, large sorts making 27s to 32s Gd, smaller 22s to 20s, weaners 10s Gd to 17s.

JOHNSON VILLE. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— Rt JoJrasonville an extra heavy yarding of prime bullocks and sheen came forward 4ml met with a ready sale.
