The. steamer Toroa, which accompanied Dr. Mawson to Macquarie Island, lias returned, and brought the crew of the schooner Clyde, recently wrecked on the island. The vessel is owned by Hatch, of Invercargill, the lessee of Macquarie Island. A ROUGH PASSAGE. llohart, December 22. Dr. Mawson's vessel, the Aurora, had a rough trip to Macquarie Island. She encountered heavy seas, and half the bridge was washed away. A seaman was swept overboard, but was recovered by means of a rope.
