Baker, asserted that Detective Foster, an employee of the National Erectors' Association, was interfering with him. Baker dragged Foster before a criminal court, judge, demanding . protection. The judge rebuked Baker, who snatched a club from a policeman and threatened Foster. The police interfered, and Baker was ordered to an-wer a charge of contempt of court. At the Indianapolie trial, the county prosecutor was lined for contempt of court.

A member of the grand jury holding the investigation became insane and was removed to an asvlum.
