The latter, who were occupying the oasi-. maintained a hot fire, but were disiodjjed with heavy loss. The Italian ca.-ualties were six killed and 80 v.ounded. Two thousand Turks and Arabs attacked the defences at Derna. They "Were repulsed after a severe fight. CONTRABAND ARMS. Rome. December 21. December 21. The National Zeitung states that the 'ltalians executed forty natives captured while carrying arms in the oasis at Tripoli.
