He married a daughter of Mr. Woodbine Johnston, a Poverty Bay runholder, and has resided for some years at Lower Hutt. t Mr. Parata is a son of Mr. T. Pnrata, ' who for twenty-six years sat in the /'' House of Representatives as member for • »' the Southern Maori District.
