Archdeacon Harper, who leaves for England nirat week, issues a letter .of affectionate farewell to his parishioners aral friends, after thirty-six years' service. Timaru citizens will £ive him a farewell and purse in recognition of his public services. A considerable sum lias been subscribed. THE UNSEASONABLE WEATHER. Timaru, Last Night. The weather continues w-et, with frequent 'heavy showers. About 2% inches of rain has fallen during the. las-t three days, and will be beneficial to farmers. The heavy hail has done damage in some localities.
