WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE.
A REFERENDUM PROPOSED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, London, December 11. A deputation from the National Leaguo opposed to Women's Suffrage asked the Premier to submit the uuestion Ho a referendum before legislating. The Premier stated that while he was opposed to the referendum, he thought in this instance it might be satisfactorily used, because the question cut athwart all party lines.
