MR. HODtiKIXSOX'S SALE. There was a largo attendance of buyers at Waiuakaiho yesterday, when Air. Xewton King held a dispersal sale of Mr. A. Ilodgkinsou's well-known Jersey herd. Mr. S. \V. Shaw weilded the hammer. The cattle, which arrived from Xelson on Tuesday night, looked well and realised satisfactory prices. Forty-two animals, including «■ few grade cows, were disposed of at the good total of £B2O. Among the pedigree stock, the top price was realised for a cow. Silver May, purchased liy Mr. L'. (ioodson. of ll'awera, for <(;.") gas. The same purchaser also obtained Sweet Pea at ,">7gns.. Countess of St. Lambert went to Mr. John Hale. (it Mangorei. at 53gns., as also did Lucky Lass at Signs., Ravenswood Princess 2(!gns.. .Jersey Bank Rose 25 , / «gns.. J.n. Treasure 2'Sgns.. J.B. Pretty 28gns., and .1.1!.
