There is much unrest among the postal authorities at Mr. Samuel's refusal of an enquiry into wages and conditions until 1013, when a commission will be appointed, after the Hoard of Trade enquiry into the cost of living has reported. Extremists urge a strike at Christmas. The Premier, in the House of Commons, hinted that he would favorably consider the earlier appointment, of the committee of enquiry into wages paid to postal employees.
