HEAVY VOTE FOR DOMINION PROHIBITION TARANAKI.

2825 3131 2347 3500 For 1908 returns see page 8. Til the licensing poll Taranaki retains license, although there is a majority of 306 for No-license. As far as this electorate is concerned, however, National Prohibition has secured a threefifths majority, there being 28 more than are necessary. We have not recorded the number of informal votes polled on the licensing question, as they were not complete last night, but it is rather a commentary on the intelligence of some of the electors when they are found, as will be the case, to run into over two hundred.
