TRAM STRIKE THREATENED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A tram strike in Auckland before the Christmas holidays seems probable. The union to-night rejected tin- proposals of the company in almost all detail?, an.* resolved as follows, "This union has de< cided to give the necessary fourteen days notice under the Act to cease work, unless a satisfactory settlement is agreed to in the meantime, provided that such stoppage shall not take place unless the consent of the Executive of the Federation of Labor be obtained."
