BICYCLING ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Ashburt'on, Saturday. A 'bad accident occurred during the progress of a bicycle' road race last: night, by which a boy, named W. Shaw, collided with another competitor and fell to the ground, striking it with such force that he was rendered unconscious, and has since remained so. The injuries to his head are wry serious. TWO GUN ACCIDENTS. Christdiurch, Last Night. Ernest Shackleton, seventeen years of age, residing at Linwood, was getting through a fence, when a gun he was' carrying went off and he received the charge. His condition is somewhat serious.
