DYEWORKS WRECKED. BY CHEMICAL GAS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 3. 5.10 p.m. London, December '2. Gases at Bradford Beck in a brickedup stream, polluted by chemical effluents, exploded and wrecked the Armi-t-ape dveworks at Bradford. Eight hundred employees, chiefly girls, stampeded. A laborer was killed and twenty operatives injured. Fifteen acres are affected. The damage is £30,000.
