NO-LICENSE DEMONSTRATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmersbon N., Last Night. A big no-license demonstration was held to-night, when the members of the Pnlmenston No-license League, Good Templars, Rcchabites and W.C.T.U., local Sunday School, Salvation Army and Palinerston North brass bands marched from St. Andrew's Church to the Agricultural Hall. Here Professor Mills addresed an audience of about two thousand people. NO-LICENSE CAM PA 1C N. Carterton, Wednesday. A public, meeting on the licensing questions was held here last night, at which several Masterlon business men spoke of the good effects of no-license in Masterton. At the close of the meeting. the following resolution was put: "Timl. this large and representative audience of Carterton citizens, having heard the convincing statements of Masterton business men re the good effects of »o-license in declares its intention of supporting no-license at the coming poll." The motion was carried unanimously.
