RIFLE SHOOTING
DEFENCE RIFLE CLUE To-morrow the newly formed New Plymouth Defence ]!il!e Club will have iti official opening- on the Rewa. Rewa rifle range, when a match will be fired between two teams to be cailled the President's and the Vice-president's teams, -tyll riflemen are invited to be present, and those who are not already in the teams will be picked on the ranged. The lady friends of riflemen are also invited to be present, and so that they might have an interest in the match, four prizes will be given to the ladies drawing the four gentlemen making the highest scores. Afternoon tea will be provided by the club. The following are the teams:—President's team: Humphries, Short, Evans, Willis, Nichols, Mturett. 131anelia.nl, Keating. Messenger, Wood, Buchanan, Chirk, Kurta, Haginson, C.' O'key, Whittle, Lye. Vice-president's team: Oliver. Winslade, Bruce. JohnsonHartnell, Hill. Beadle, Jeomans, Brown., Boon, Gilmour, Ingram, Hooker, Ellerm' Morey. Phillips, Sehlon.
