DAVIS CUP DEFENDERS. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. 1 Sydney, November 27. ' The Herald says that Lycett's inclusion in the tennis team is due to his fine play in the doubles championship. Brookes probably selected him with a view to playing with ham in the Davis double contests, as that is the branch of lawn tennis in which he excels. The Telegraph says that perhaps Brookes has decided to reserve his own energy for the singles and pair Lycetit with Dunlop. On the other hand he may only intend to have him as a reserve.
