FAMOUS PICTURE RECOVERED. Received 20, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Xovember 25. A man near Florence, noticing he was vratched. threw a parcel over a hedge containing the stolen picture. ''Madonna Delia Stella." It is surmised the thief intended to tak* the painting overseas. MAORIS IX i.oxnox. Received 27. 12.45 a.u;. London. Xovember 26. Only half the Maori troupe sailed in the Somerset, despite Sir W. Hall-Jones' disapproval. Rangiuia. the Maori tenor, has persuaded twenty to remain, in expectation of music hall engagements.
