CILRISTCH U RCII SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christ/church, Last Night. In the slander ease heard at the Supreme Court to-da} - , in which Herbert C. Amos, storekeeper of Doyleston, claimed £250 damages from John McLaehlajn, one of the candidates for the Ashburton seat, after the evidence had been heard, the jury {omul for the plaintiff for 40s. Judgment was accordingly entered with costs on the lowest scale. Decrees nisi were granted in the cases of De Lama re- v. De La ma re and Dobson v. Dobson, both husbands' petition. DUNEDIN SESSIONS. Dunedin, Last Night. In the Supreme Court to-day a decree liisi \vsie> (granted in the following divorce cases:—Chirk v. Clark, wife's petition, 011 the grounds of desertion; Newman v. Newman, husband'* petition, on the grounds of misconduct; Scott v. Scott, on the grounds of desertion; Jordan v. Jordan, wife's petition, on the grounds of misconduct.
