ELECTORAL CASES.
ALLEGED FALSE DECLARATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Kltham. Yeslerdav. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday Ihree defendants separately were charged with making false declarations regarding claims for enrolment, and another defendant, D. F. Patterson, bad throe separate charges against him in respect to the above claims of misleading the registrar of electors by causing to be sent him claims containing false statements. One case was dismissed and one defendant was fined Kls. The other cases were, partly heard. In one case it was alleged that the claim was made out in pencil, but Patterson sent in the claim in ink, containing a. false statement at variance with the statement made by claimant, who denies having written or signed it. The magistrate considered this case very serious, involving elements of periurv or forgery, and adjourned the healing in M'cm'e further evidence.
