Counsel, representing nine Chicago packers indicted under the criminal clause of the Anti-Trust Art, left for Washington to submit an appeal to the Supreme Court against quashing the writ of habeas corpus. In the preliminary proceedings of the Government suit, Rockefeller will be invited to reply to the testimony given to the House of Representatives Committee in investigating the Steel Trust, charging Rockefeller and his agents with taking from the representatives of the Mesaba Iron Mines and Duluth Railway Company ten million dollars worth of securities in order to satisfy a call loan amounting to twenty thousand dollars.
