PRESS CABLEGRAMS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. The Telegraph Department .states that the reduction in press cablegrams, referred to by the Premier in a Christchurch telegram this week, applies only to deferred cablegrams, which may be liable to twelve hours' delay. The de-ptH-tmcnt Jias no further details, and was not aware there was any intention to apply the deferred .system to pre" as well as ordinary cables. ARCHITECTS' INSTITUTE. Wellington, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Architects was held to-day. According to the report the membership of the institute comprised 70 fellows and 29 associates. Hie number of students on the register was 33. as against 39 last year. The report stated that the time was now opportune to make further application for iill'iliation to the British Institute.
