LAWN TENNIS.
N.Z. ASSOCIATION MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. At a meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association it was reported that inquiries made with reference to the selection of suitable players to represent Australasia at the Manila Carnival, to be held in February, resulted in only one New Zealand representative being available for selection. The secretary reported that no further advice bad been received from Australia with reference to the prospect of a ladies' team coming from Australia to play a match in AVe-llington at the time of the Davis Cup contest. Subscriptions for New Zealand were fixed at twopence per member of clubs belonging to the various associations. Programmes of tournaments were approved, and it was decided to give a civic reception to the Davis Cup team from America on arrival in Wellington.
