FIRES.
A BLAZE IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. Two shops aml dwellings in Hobson street, occupied by Mrs. S. Donovan as a laundry, were gulled by fire at 8 a.m. Mrs. Donovan's mother had to be carried from an upstairs room, and was slightly burned about the head and neck. There was no insurance on the furniture ana laundry plant. The building, which was owned by the estate of Edward Langley, was insured for ,C'~>(H) in the New Zealand Oil'ice.
