ADVICE AGAINST STRIKES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney. November 15. Mr. Edden, Secretary for Mines at Broken Hill, strongly advised against strikes. The time had arrived when Jack was as good as bis master, and he should think before striking, instead of striking first and thinking afterwards. Strikes accomplished nothing that could not be accomplished without them.
THE WOOL SCOLDERS' RETURN. Received 15. 10 p.m. Sydney, November 15. The balance of the wool scourers have resumed. CITY SWEEPERS CO OUT. Received 15, 10 p.m. • Sydney, November 15. A section of the city street sweepers struck for increased wages and shorter hours. They gave the boys remaining at work a warm time until notification from the Lord .Mayor that they would lose their jobs unless they resumed caused a collapse of the strike. The toys will resume in the morning.
