A 3000-gallon. tank' wa blown a considerable distance, air' crashed into the kitchen of a house, smashing the walls. The stationmaster's dwelling was destroyed, and hi* wife s-criou*ly injured by the falling debris. A massive goods-shed was smashed to atoms, and sheets of roofing iron were blown nearly a mile. J. large storeroom was lifted bodily and deposited on the railway line. Many chimneys and small buildings were blown away. The damage is estimated at .£-2000.
