A WIDOW'S CLATM.S. By Telegraph —Press Association. Dunedin, List Night. Tn the Arbitration Court, to-dav the case of Snowdown v. Union Steam Ship Company was heard, Plaintiff was Harriet Snowdown. whose husband was killed 011 one of the company** boats at Napier. The amount of the claim, £4BO !)s, had been paid into Court, including £2O for special expenses, which, however. amounted to .till) Lis. leaving £i) las as a further claim. The Court ordered that COO be paid to the widow immediately, the balance to be invested by the Public Trustee, the interest to be applied for the benefit of three dependents. IRON AND BRASS FOUNDERS' DISPUTE. Dunedin, I.ast Night,. The iron and biass moulders' dispute came hi fore ihe Court. The union asked for Is 4VI-d pt r hour for all work. The employers, were willing to give Is 4Vyd .per hour for a'l work, except catalogue work, for which they offer Is 3d. The case was unfinished whin the Court rose.
