HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
From the reports received from local rose growers and intending exhibitors the display of roses at the New Plymouth Horticultural Society's rose show which is to be held in the Brougham street hall on Thursday next, 9th inst., should be the finest <fcer seen in the town. There will also be exhibits of other flowers from the best local gardens, and as the season has been a particularly good one, this year's rose show should be the most successful ever held by the society. Entries close /with the secretary j to-morrow. | Owing to the elections being held on | Thursday, 7th December, the Ilorticul- | tural Society has altered the date of its j spring show to Thursday, 30th November. Intending 'exhibitors will kindly' J note this alteration and make their enI tries on Tuesday, 2-Stli November, instead of the advertised time in the schedule. '•No alteration in the date of the rose I show has been made, entries for which I will close with the secretary oil Tuesday next.
