CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN NEW ZEALAND. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 27. 12.30 a.m. Sydney, October 20. The executive of the Australasian Provincial Press Association resolved to hold a postponed conference in New Zealand at the end of February or the beginning of March.

The New South Wales Country Press Conference decided to recommend the Australasian Provincial Association to consider the advisability of constituting a board to deal with the qualification of newspapers to obtain and maintain registration. A proposal to set a standard for the training of journalists was defeated.
