CAUSES FIRE ABOARD ANOTHER FRENCH BOAT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Paris, October 24. While the battleship SufTren was about to leave Toulon the magazine bu!khea<l was found to be heated by a fire in the coal bunkers. The magazine and bunkers were flooded and the fire extinguished. The Liberte Commission reported that the catastrophe was attributable to the ignition of gunpowder in the cartridge magazine. There was no proof that it was due to malevolence. The regulations were carried out with the greatest' care. The officers were absolved from blame.
