THE FOXTOX TRAGEDY. By Telegraph—Presg Association. Palmerston North. Last Night. Search for the bodies of three of the victims of the Foxton boating tragedy which are still missing was continued throughout to-day, but so fur without result. Semple, organiser for the New Zealand Federation of Labor, is advised that the Auckland and Lyttelton Waterside Workers' Union have decided to join the Xew Zealand Federation of Labor (miners). The Wellington Waterside Workers are taking a ballot on the proposal to join the federation.

A FARMER BANKRUPT. Timaru, Last Night. It is a long time since a farmer was made bankrupt in this district. To-day a fieraldiue farmer named Connollv, who began farming i\nd dealing in 1904 with £837, obtained from his father, met his creditors with unsecured debts of over £4OOO (chiefly losses in dealing) and no assets. The farm was lost by foreclosure. AIRBORNE SHOW. (lisbonie, Last Night. The thirty-second annual A. & P.' Show opened to-day in fine weather. The attendance was not quite as large as usual, but a record attendance is expected tomorrow, "People's Day." Interest in the show was well maintained, and the entries increased from 1220 last year to 1240. There was a particularly good increase in cattle entries. flic sheep classes were only no) able for the exhibit of Romneys. The champion awards in the sheep classes were: Lincoln ram, A. J.
