(From Our Own Correspondent) On Monday night, in the Parish Hall, Mrs. Barton, of Olasgow, gave a lecture is the cause of no license. The hall ivsi packed with an attentive audience. She gave a most interesting address brimful of wit and humorous anecdotes, and with a strong vein of pathos running through the whole, carrying the crowd with her from start to finish. At the close of the address the chairman asked if anyone would like to ask any question. Only some two or three persons availed themselves of the opportunity, and these were answered satisfactorily. A vote of thanks was then put and carried enthusiastically. Mr A. Thomas, of Smith and Oaughly's, is leaving Inglewood shortly, and is embarking in a venture of his own else- ; where. His running is being taken up I by his brother, who, by the way, is also | Mr. A. Thomas.
