The newspaper Reichspost, the mouthpiece of the Heir to the Throne and military circles, endorses German newspaper complaints that Austria has latterly shown a coolness to Germany on the Moroccan question, which is markedly in contrast to her friendliness with Italy in the Tripolitan conflict. SPANIARDS AND RIFFS. BRILLIANT OFFICER KILLED. A SHARP CONFLICT. Received 10, 11.10 p.m. Madrid, October 16. During the Riffs' daring attack on a Spanish position at Imarufen, near Me- I lilla, General Ordonez, Spain's most bril-! liant artillery officer and the inventor of the Ordonez cannon, received two bullet wounds in his chest and, succumbed. Two officers and sixteen men were wounded, but the Riffs were repulsed with great loss.
