The Labor Party has answered Mr. Churchill's challenge at Dundee, in which he said Labor candidates should be opposed by Liberals, by Mr. Anderson, chairman of the party, opposing a Liberal at Keighley. THE INSURANCE BTLL. London, October 13. Tho national conference of friendly societies at Edinburgh, representing a membership of four millions, rejected a proposal to urge, ithe Government to postpone the Insurance Bill for a year, and resolved that while accepting the main provisions of the Bill it demanded alterations, conferring self-government ou approved societies, majority representation on the health committees, and that the earners of over £IOO per annum should he. permitted to become voluntary subscribers without Government subsidy. Failing these concessions it recommended all societies strenuously 'to oppose the Bill.
" XO SURRENDER " CLUB. The 'No Surrenders'' .have formed a club called the Hals-bury Club, consisting of members of both [louses, whose purpose is to restore a free constitution. Lord Halsbury is president, and Lord Selborne chairman.
