TARAXAKI BOWLIXG ASSOCIATIOX. A PROVIXCIAiL COMPETITIOX INAUGURATED. A meeting of delegates to the Taranaki Bowling Association was held in the Patea Club's pavilion yesterday, when there were present: Messrs. Taylor (Waverley), A. Smart (New Plymonth and 'Stratford), 0. X. Firth (West End and Fitzroy), Murray (331tliam), Pearee (Paten),* and Riley (Hawera). It wa's resolved that the next annual tournament l>e played at Patea and Waverley on February 13, 14, and 15, 1012, and the arrangements for the same will be left in the hands of the Patea and Waverley clubs, who will draw up programmes and send copies to the various clubs entered. Entries will close on February 1. The questioti of arranging for dn-inter-' club provincial banner tournament was discussed. It was pointed, out that the hatMioliday fell ofi T-h¥ir!rdtty : in l North Tiihihaki and on Wednesday in South Taranaki, and it -was- itlso considered that the travelling would come rather heavy on clubs situate away from the line. Ultimately it was decided to divide the prchi'itce into three districts, viz., Xorth, to somprise Xew Plymouth, Fitzroy, West End, Waitnra, Inglewood, Stratford ami Eltham; South, comprising Hawera. WaveMy" and Patea; and central, comprising" Manaia. Pihama ami Opunake. Home'and home matches will be played by each club ill each division, and the winners of s*iiith and. central will meet nit Haw-era to decide who is to meet the northern'winners at Stratford.
