STRANDED AT TILE ISLANDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Cliristchurch, Monday. The steamer Boveric has arrived from Sam Francisco via Tonga. The vessel reports that the prospects of floating the Knight of St. George, ashore at Nukualofa, a/re remote. The greater part of the cargo has been saved at considerable cost, and the larger portion of the salvage is in good condition. Probably the decks will have to be blasted to enable the heavy lumber to be -removed. The Boveric brings all the salvaged cargo, including 208 tons of copper, 3000 packages of general merchandise, and a shipment of electrical gear, valued at £30,000, consigned to the New South Wales Government.
