The following delegates were present:—Messrs Hood (Inglewood), Williams (Waiongona), Codd and Egarr (Dudley), Simpson (Durham), Mundt and Gopperth (Kaimiro) and Boldt (Lincoln). In connection with examinations, the present method of examining by the: inspectors came in for adverse comment,' the older members of school committees preferring the old system. The matter, was held over till next meeting. The alteration in the holiday at midwinter from a fortnight straight off to two weekly holidays at an interval of thTee months was also discussed, but the opinion of those present was evenly j divided over the question.—Xo action was. taken.
The question of an amalgamated school committee, lield over from last meeting, 1 evoked considerable discussion, and it eras eventually decided-—"That a committee of a delegate from each commit-; tee on the books of the Association be formed, with power to add to their number (to meet in a month from date) to arrange details, etc. '
