RIFLE SHOOTING

NEW PLYMOUTH RIFLE CLUB. Tlic members of the newly-formed Defence Rifle 01 nb held a practice on Thursday last. Weather condition were good ami some remarkably fine shooting was made. "All But's" were numerous, and one possible was recorded. The first seven men averaged' a point over 90, the scares ranging down from 102 to 93. The members are expecting their rifles from headquarters shortly, and hope to be in full swing in the course of a week or two. Rifleman W. Winslade, the, well-known Opaki marksman, has taken up his quarters in New Plymouth, and should considerably strengthen the Jocal club.
