ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DROWNING FATALITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Clvristchurch, Saturday. The five-ycar-old boy of Edwa.rd Hawthorne Shaw was. drowned in the Avon at Richmond yesterday afternoon. He was playing with a small companion near the river bank, and said he was going to throw a stone in the river. A little later he was missed. The body 'was recovered' last night. At the inquest it was stated that his father is second officer on the Island trader liiduna. A verdict of accidentally drowned was returned.
SUDDEN DEATH. Auckland, Saturday. A man aged about l>s, not yet identified, dropped dead in High street today. FOUND DEAD. Christchureh, Last Ni»ht. Margaret Allen, aged 70 years, residing with Mr. Buting at Woodend, was found dead in bed this morning at 6.30.
