JERSEY CATTLE SALE
On Wednesday next Mr. Newton King will submit to auction, on account of Mr. Tlios. Lux ton, of Waitara road, a high grade herd of over one hundred head of dairy cows. Included in the herd are some 17 pedigree Jerseys that are sure to command the attention of dairymen. The herd, which is well known in the district, is comprised mostly of grade Jerseys, and their tests at the factory, which varied from 4.4 to 5.2 for the season, show the value of this strain of cattle. The pedigrees are wellknown animals, or their progeny, and when it is mentioned that these include such cows as Grannie's Girl. .Mammy 1., and Blossom, and the bull Abundance IV., the public will quickly recognise that the choicest butter-fat producing cattle in the Dominion may be obtained at this sale. Mr. Luxton has spared nothing, but has gone to considerable expense to purchase the very best cattle, and the herd has amply repaid his wise selection. The. young cattle are very line animals, and should prove an acquisition to anyone. Grannie's Girl has been served by Mrs. Clias. Goodsnn's recently imported bull. The Squire, which' was so successful in the show ring prior to leave the Island () f Jersey, and the result of this meeting should be wortli a mint of money to the purchaser.
