THE TAItAAXKI FIELD DEVELOPMKXT. Mr. C. V.. Bellringer, acting-chairman of the Taranaki Petroleum Company, yesterday received a cablegram that the capital of the new company to be formed to develop the Taranaki Petroleum Company's options and interests will he £400.000 in £1 shares, ,10:).0fl(> of which will be issued at par, two sliil- ; lings, being payable on application, three' shillings on allotment, and a call of live shillings in not less than three months if required. Shares will be offered in Australia, Xew Zealand and at Home simultaneously. The date at which applications will be received from the public will be notified as soon as possible. The former message regarding the underwriting of the venture has been con. firmed.
