MIOWIT ON" THE BIOGRAPH. Yesterday afternoon Mr. Saunders ran o(r, for the benefit of a few prominent townsmen, a picture that is said to be the last word in cinematography, namely, "The Crusaders," a modern version of I'asso's famous "Jerusalem Delivered." The Cines Company's numerous troupo of trained performers, numbering some hundreds, enact the various battlo scenes. The. principal parts are interspersed with refined artistic skill. Tin, costumes, armour, ai'ms, mountings and scenery are on a lavish scale. The st»ry is quaint, yet the leading characters nra manly and never exaggerated, and tlio female roles are exquisitely drawn. The storming of the walls of Jerusalem is n. marvellous achievement, which carries a most realistic effect. The surging invaders are seen pouring into the city, niul on all «ides crowds of terror-stricken inhabitants rush helter skelter through the streets with the armor-clad soldiers wielding their spears and swords unsparingly. The film is a lengthy one, and will occupy the first part of the programme to-night and the succeeding two nights. Mr. Saunders has shown some pictures of a high standard 01E merit, tot, it will 'be generally acknowledged by those who see it, that "JenHnlem Delivered" is easily the. finest in every respect. The picture has been secured at considerable expense, and it is to lie hoped Mr. Saunders' interiprise will be rewarded as it deserves. The second part of to-night's programme include tho star dramas by Kalem Co., "Heart of an Indian Mother" and by Lubin Studio "'Age v. You'th." The scenic views, are "Kioto an«l surroundings" and "Beautiful Gorges of Tarn." The comedy element is supplied with "The Villa"i? Flirt" (Eclair), and "A Olever Ruse" (Tmp). The. Biograph orchestra will add an artisic musical accompaniment to each Item,
