DISTRICT NEWS.

DUDLEY ROAD. (From Our Own Correspondent). The Dudley Road School Committee held their annual concert on Friday. 13th inst., and was a complete success, it being the best concert held here for some years. All the settlers rolled up and outsiders came from all directions. The programme was as follows:—Selection, Miss Darnell (piano), C. (i. Broadmore /cornet), U. Broadmore (violin) and L. Eggar (piccolo) ■;. song, school children; vocal duet. Misses Iline and Taylor: violin solo, L. Hodges; piano solo, Master W. Egarr; song, school girls; song,comic, Mr. A. Burrows; mandolin solo, Mr. (i. Marsh, Mis 3 Darnell accompanying on the piano ; recitation, Mr. R. Baddeley; song, Mr. Gidtlis; recitation; Mr. Taylor; Highland fling, Miss B. Todd, R. Meston and F. Meston, Mr. ,1. Mackie being piper; song, Mr. Giddi>: farce, school boys; reel, Todd and Meston families. Mr. IT. Kennedy kindly brought his pupils from Inglewood and gave a splendid display on the: horizontal bar. which :was one of the best items of the evening. Mr. D. Egarr made a splendid chairman and kept good order. Supper was handed round after the concert programme was completed. Dancing followedj Mr. H. Broadmore making a very efficient M.C. and keeping the dancers busv.
