ARABI PASHA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 22, 11.15 p.m. Cairo, September 22. Obituary.—Arabi Pasha. His remains were quietly interred before his death was generally known.
Deceased was head of the Egyptian forces that Britain defeated at Tel-el-Kebir in 1882. He was 'captured and exiled to Ceylon, subsequently being permitted to return to Egypt." He was a descendant of the prophet Mahommed. was born in 1841, and had a family of ten sons and five daughters.
